The Club Safety Rules, published as By-Law Number One to the Club Constitution, are there for the safety of all Club members. The application of these rules is mandatory by all members and guests flying at any of the Club sanctioned sites. The By-Law is printed here for your convenience:

BY-LAW NUMBER ONE
FIELD SAFETY RULES
1. All aircraft shall be flown in a safe manner with consideration of others at the field.
2. No flying over pit or parking areas.
3. No children in pit area unless supervised by an adult.
4. All pets on leash when any activity is going on in the pit or flying area.
5. No taxiing or walking onto the runway before announcing the intention, and then check for incoming flights.
6. Landing aircraft and " dead stick", shall have the "right of way".
7. Glider area is located at the upper right side of the field, West side.
8. Before turning on your transmitter, get your frequency pin from the box by the frequency board, or use the appropriate MAAC recommended frequency pin, and attach to the frequency board. Please remove and return after use.
9. lf more than one person has the same frequency, please arrange for sharing.
10. On training night, student training with instructor takes priority of flying field and frequency board.
11. Pilots shall announce their intention to land or take off. No more than five planes are permitted to be airborne at one time.
12. No breaking in engines in the pit area, please use designated area.
13. All visitors are welcome; if you are going to fly, please see one of the SJMFC members before flying.
14. All students having completed the wing program are encouraged to have a spotter the first year of flying.
